Project overview
Shard Place will bring 176 high-quality studio, 1, 2 and 3 bedroom furnished apartments to Shard Quarter. The residential space is set across 26 storeys and complemented by new landscaped public space providing retail, cafes, bars and restaurants. A double-height amenity space located on the 16th floor will open onto a communal roof garden to be enjoyed by the residents.
Shard Place completes the trilogy of the Renzo Piano-designed buildings at Shard Quarter. The building features a triple-glazed façade similar to The Shard, and is designed to ‘float’ nine metres above ground level. The space beneath Shard Place creates 13,000 sq ft of new public realm, which will offer a calm oasis away from the bustling commuter route.
Project history
Shard Place is the third phase of development at Shard Quarter. The first two phases, The Shard and The News Building, have together brought commerce and high-end leisure, restaurant and hotel facilities to the area, transforming it into a vibrant and sought-after neighbourhood.
