SELLAR CONTINUES 1 MILLION SQ FT CANADA WATER DEVELOPMENT ROLE FOLLOWING SITE SALE TO ART-INVEST

Sellar has been appointed to co-develop the 4.5-acre Canada Water Dock following the site’s sale to German property investor and developer Art-Invest Real Estate for £140m.

The site, Canada Water Dock, is located in the London Borough of Southwark, and is surrounded by British Land’s seven million sq ft regeneration project. The site has an indicative masterplan to create three new commercially-led buildings totalling c.1.2 million sq ft. There is also existing consent for 1,000 residential units, including the 234 units and new Decathlon store that Sellar completed in the summer of 2018.

James Sellar, CEO of Sellar, comments: “London’s young innovators and creatives commute through Canada Water every day and its regeneration will create one of London’s most significant new urban centres where people will want to work, live and spend their free time. The transaction enables us to continue delivering on the vision, which has evolved in conjunction with the London Borough of Southwark, and we look forward to working with the Art-Invest team to deliver a landmark scheme at the heart of London’s next major regeneration hub.”
